I've attached a screenshot... I'm NOWHERE 'in line'. I've filled out the details page 2x so far and all I'm racking up is more un-run processes.

edits only *typically* happen quickly.
sometimes they stall a bit, usually for 1 of 2 reasons:
1) 1 of the 2 boxes the item lives on is having issues and is getting maintenance
2) other items are busy on the box editing/modifying and there's a queueing line that sometimes things have to wait in

we're doing our best, and trust me, i watch the list of items and unstick them
nearly 24x7 as a huge part of my job 8-)

Thanks for the reply tracey

Is it possible 'hard quotes' ["..."] (aka 'smart' quotes) in any of the particular fields (as in this morning's title cause processing problems? If so, I'll desist.

no chance of that ;-)

basically it looks like they took < 20 minutes to run
prolly due to some other items with big/major changes
that were running on that pair/box at the time.

things should be getting better, at least, as we have more "main servers with free space" online and up since last week, so things should gradually improve.

Either someone @ IA 'kickstarted' the server or it mysteriously started running the process on it's own.

The question still remains: "WHY is this happening?"

It's NOT an isolate occurrence. It occurs at least once every couple of weeks if not more frequently, and is very frustrating, causing, if not just a bunch of erroneous processes, much frustration by the user (in this case, me...)
